A windy moon?
Is
there wind on the moon? If not, why does the photograph of the astronauts on the
moon show the flag extended? Julie, Colchester, England

There is no wind or atmosphere on the Moon. The
flags Apollo astronauts planted on the Moon appear to fly because poles across
the flag tops hold the flags out. The astronauts twisted the poles to make
the flags appear rippled.
