do: Qualifications:
Background: My husband and I put our green 16- foot canoe in at the Great Slave Lake and paddled down river through 1,000 miles of utter wilderness to Inuvik on the Arctic Ocean. I kept a journal of the 46-day adventure. National magazines published my feature articles and I soon branched out to another love--science writing.
