Weathering Rocks
Q: Do you have any articles on weathering of
rocks?
A: Yes, the Internet abounds in them. I've listed
three under "Further Surfing" below.
The first one is a good place to start: telling how
rocks weather. They dissolve or transform into other
minerals. Rocks can break into pieces but stay the
same chemically. Living organisms also change
rocks.
Your question got me curious. I asked a few geologists to recommend some good books on our
planet Earth. The ones I bought are in "Further Reading".
